He wanted to move to Alaska however he had to settle for several return visits.

He and Sherry divorced in the mid 80’s and he married twice more.  He settled in Concord, CA.  after his divorce and made that his base before moving to San Diego for the last years of his life. He is survived by his son Eric Hall(Stephanie) and grandsons, Michael, Robert and Ardun; Michelle Hall and granddaughter, Amanda; sister, Meredith Burrell(Bill) and her family; brother E. Thomas Hall.

In retirement, he enjoyed developing his culinary skills.  He was known by several nicknames:  the Rib Man and the Pepper Maniac.  Many looked forward to enjoying his creations, especially those topped by some of his hand crafted pepper.  He grew many plants, dried, ground and combined the end productto create packets of “fire” to share with his friends.

Lauren had many friends in the many places he lived, worked and visited.  His favorite pastime was striking up a conversation at the local pub and enjoying a variety of topics.  The all time favorite of course were his beloved 49ers and/or the San Francisco Giants.  Raise a mug of your favorite brew and remember the “Rib Man”.
