Vincent (Vince) Joseph Hale

Vincent Joseph Hale Jr., born April 26, 1945 in San Francisco, CA and raised in Napa, passed away suddenly on March 18, 2015 in Lakeport, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent J. Hale, Sr. and Erma Rodgers Hale. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966 serving two tours in Vietnam and completing his service in New York City. He met and married Kayoko Agena in Okinawa, having two daughters with her.

Vincent spent most of his life as a millwright working in the Bay Area and Saudi Arabia and in the public works field working for the City of San Leandro and retiring as superintendent of public works with the City of Suisun City, CA.

Vince enjoyed his drift boat fishing on the Klamath and Trinity Rivers with his friends TL and Bob Pierce, along with his wife Shannon and his love of restoring and racing motorcycles with Bob Gross.

He is survived by his wife Shannon Harris-Hale of Lakeport, daughters Christine (Scott) Grabowski of Livermore and Neva Hale Stroud (David) of Carmichael. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Megan Grabowski, Brian Grabowski and Noah Stroud, his brother Larry Hale (Chris), sister Christine Hale, niece and nephews and his brother and sister in-laws in Durham, CA.

Vince will be remembered for his love and care of animals, leaving behind Isaboe, GG, Zeeva, Ranger, MaiMai and Auggie and many feline friends.

Services will be private at Tulocay in Napa. Arrangements are under the care of Napa Valley Memorial Park Mortuary.
