Hello, My name is Sharon Quinlan Sanders. I graduated from Napa High in 1961 and my husband, Max Sanders, graduated in 1962. We still live in Napa. Dale and Max were backyard neighbors (on Idaho/Iowa Street) and best friends growing up. They duck hunted and fished together on the Napa River. Max, Dale and Ed Larsen had an ark (cabin) on Napa Slough #2, and they called themselves the San-Glo-Lar Duck Club. It burnt down in 1966. Dale died on March 10, 1989 of pancreatic cancer. He was a Napa County Deputy Sheriff. Dale was survived by his wife, Melanie, and a son and daughter, Kirk and Jill, from a prior marriage. He was also survived by an older brother, Kenny Glover (who passed in 2000), and his father, Ralph Glover. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Sherman Glover. Dale was a long-time good friend, and his passing has left a void.
