Barbara Jean (Frost) Ohlandt

December 8, 1945 - July 1, 2024

NAPA - Barbara Jean Ohlandt was born on December 8, 1945, to Fulton Lee and Arvie Elizabeth Frost in Oakland, CA. They moved to Napa the following year where she grew up with her younger brother Clifford Frost. Barbara graduated from Napa High School in 1963, where she met and married her high school sweetheart Richard (Dick) Ohlandt Jr. on December 8, 1962. They were happily married for a total of 61 years. They raised two children, Richard (Rick) Ohlandt III and Robin Price.

Together, Barbara and Dick started an RV repair business in American Canyon in 1972. This allowed her to focus on raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was affectionately known as Nana to her family and friends. Nothing was more important to her than being Nana in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives. She never missed a Softball game, Basketball tournament, or BMX race. She was their biggest fan in the stands cheering them on and keeping score. She loved road trips, and her husband often called her a "gypsy" for always wanting to be on the road.

Barbara passed away on July 1, 2024, after a short battle with colon cancer.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dick Ohlandt; her children: Rick Ohlandt and Jan Ohlandt, Robin Price and John Price; her grandchildren: Lacey and Ben McCormick, Kaitlin Ohlandt, Jordan and Clark Lundeen, Dylan and Kylee Price; and great-grandchildren: Colton McCormick, Delaney McCormick, and Jackson Lundeen. She is also survived by her bonus children: Jill Munson, Michaela Munson, Elaina Cammarota, and Charlie Jones.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Napa Valley Life Church (2303 Trower Ave).
