Marriage:  He married Bette Workinger in August 1967.  They had two sons, Michael and Thomas.

Military:  In 1968, after graduating from Sacramento State, he entered the United States Air Force and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant after graduating from Officers Training School at Lackland AFB in Texas.  He served four years as a Missile Launch Officer.

"To each is given a book of rules
a shapeless mass and a kit of tools
and each must make ere life has flown
a stumbling block or a stepping stone"

Bob made "stepping stones" for so many as he touched lives with a kind and gentle heart.
