Dec, 1993 Vacaville- St. Helena resident Lawrence Duane "L.D." Davis 48 died here Wednesday.
Born in South San Francisco on March 20, 1945, to Duane and Janice (Jensen) Davis, he graduated from Napa High School in 1963.
Mr. Davis owned and operated California Shellfish Company for seven years.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Joanne of St. Helena; his children, Tod Davis of Stockton, Scott Davis, Jady Davis and Andre LaVelle, all of St. Helena. Marcel LaVelle of Napa and Michelle LaVelle of Sacramento; his mother Janice Benson of Napa; a brother, Ron of Bakerfield; two sisters, Joyce Ray of Napa and Jan Shields of Santa Maria; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Morrison Funeral Chapel, 1432 Main Street, St. Helena. Inurnment will be at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery in Vacacville. Visitation at the funeral chapel will be from 9 to 11 a.m., Sunday.
Contributions may be made to the St. Helena Branch of Bank of America for Mr. Davis' minor children, Scott and Jady Davis.
