James Alton Wilson

1944 - 2022

James Alton Wilson was born to Alton and Martha Wilson on June 27, 1944 in Bakersfield California. At the age of seventy seven Jim passed away peacefully in his home in Napa California on March 6, 2022.

Jim is survived by his wife Bobby Wilson, daughter Wendy (Wilson) Mitchell (John), son Tim Wilson, granddaughter Jamie (Wilson) Polley, (George IV); grandson Bo Wilson (Denae), Kelsey Gloeckner, great grandchildren Shelby Polley, Riley Wilson, Fallon Polley, Allie Wilson, sister-in-law Patt (Burnsed) Bettinelli (Charlie), nieces and nephews Erin Wilson, Alfreda (Bettinelli) Vasquez (Mike), Therese (Bettinelli) Calvelo (the late Gregory), and Dominic Bettinelli (Erin).

Jim is predeceased by by his father Alton Wilson, mother Martha Wilson, brother Don Wilson, and nephew Charles Bettinelli, Jr.

Jim is a graduate of Napa High School in 1963 and attended Napa Jr College.

Jim worked at Basalt Rock Company for thirteen years before opening Wilson Feed and Supply in 1976.

Jim was active with the 4-H and FFA livestock committee for many years. His interest in the kids and their projects was a great joy for him.

Jim enjoyed fishing trips to Mexico and Alaska, scuba diving trips all around the Caribbean and Bali, and his motor cycle road trips with his buddies. He enjoyed hunting trips for birds and deer and squeaks.
