For a few years back in 1960-62, Will and I were the closest of friends. A huge personality, hard working, fun-loving great guy. He stopped by to check in on my parants just weeks before he passed. I intended to go see him on my next visit to Napa but that next visit came too late and, as often happens,  the best of intentions remain only intentions. A reminder that we should follow thorugh on those intntions while we still can.

I am sorry to hear about Will, I appreciate Mike getting this article posted. Its amazing to me how our lives and careers, friends we knew, have prospered and grown, I am glad to hear about everyone's success. Even though we are approaching the end of our time, its nice to know that we "all" think of one another, smile, remember those silly times and friendships, hey remember this or that, when and where, be able to close our eyes, see and feel the touch of those remembered!    Napa is a special place and we live in a special time!
RIP

Cannot take credit for this post, Jim. Thanks go to Marcy for that.

I do remember a CYO dance at Saint John's, Jim. You, me, Will and Bill Monroe. Monroe doing his wild, all over-the-floor, version of the twist. But then life took us all in different directions.

Glad you are doing well, Jim.

I sorry to say I hadn't heard of Will's passing until it was posted here.  My thanks to Marcy for posting.  It would seem from the story written about Will that he always kept that easy going very upbeat manner that he had when we knew one another back in high school.  Seems like he did very well for himself while he was here and I suspect he took that same upbeat nature to whatever afterlife he found.

For some reason today, I decided to catch up on writing thoughts and memories of so many that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Will is one...he and I dated in high school for a couple of years. Life took us in different directions but he was fun to be around during those high school years. It's always so sad to hear one you were close too has past on. It sure sounded like he accomplished a lot during his life. Good for him.
